Mzansi Individual Youth Chess Championships (MIYCC)
The Regional Gateway
MIYCC is a prestigious event that often serves as a qualifying stage for higher honors.
It brings together top young talent from across the region (and beyond) to compete in a multi-day format. This is serious chess, played at classical time controls (often 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment).
It's a test of endurance and skill, usually held in December. Preparation starts months in advance!
